Camera video
- When a supported video-call site turns on your camera, Vanish Cam processes the frames in your browser to apply the vanish effect.
- The short empty-room clip (about 3 seconds) you record with "Record empty room" stays in browser memory for the current page only. It is gone when you leave or reload the page.
- No video, image or body-pose data is written to disk or sent to Deykode or anyone else. The processed video goes only to the video-call site you are using, the same way your normal camera would.
Settings
Your preferences (effect on or off, effect type, dust speed, head-touch gesture, and a CPU/GPU compatibility setting) are saved in Chrome's local extension storage on your device. They are never sent anywhere.
Network
- The extension makes no network requests. Its vision model and code are bundled inside it.
- No analytics, tracking, advertising or data sales.
- It does not read page content, chat messages, contacts or browsing history.
Where it runs
